Skippy, Nature Dog

Published by Steve & Angie under Uncategorized, nude beach

This is the story of Skippy. A now 10-year-old shelter dog who ended up with my husband Steve as a puppy. I met Skippy shortly after meeting and falling in love with Steve. I am now his adoptive mother and have an ongoing love triangle with him and his father (Steve).

I really don’t know sometimes which one I love more (sorry Steve)!Skippy is our ever present companion at camp and Mazo Beach and all who know him have also fallen in love with him. I don’t know if nudists just tend to like animals, but we have found most or all are true animal lovers.

When the sand is hot the volleyball players let us know and we would try to run Skippy down the sand to the water as quickly as possible to avoid burns to his paws. We noticed that the volleyball players, albeit nude, wore socks to keep from burning their feet so we bought some baby socks for Skippy.

The first day Skippy donned his socks everyone on the beach oohed & ahhed and said what great animal parents we were, but we gave all of the credit to the volleyball players and their concern. We have even had people drop off little socks for us to use. What a great bunch of people!

With Skippy getting older we know that the mile trek to the beach may some day get to be too much for him so we have already decided we will get one of those bike trailers that people use for their children to let Skippy ride in style to the beach. Of course, we are getting older too so we may have to get someone to ride all three of us to the beach someday!

Where have all the good nudist chat rooms gone?

Published by Editor under Uncategorized

Years ago, before anyone knew what the Internet was, we online nudists had to scrounge to find each other and learn more about this wonderful lifestyle.

CompuServe was where we found it most reliably — back in the early 1990s. They had an active Nudist discussion board and a weekly live chat. Both were crude, text-only systems, of course, but at the time it was the best thing going. Dial in at 1200 Baud, at $8.95 per hour, and you can have all the nudist chat room you want!

Although it was slow, clunky and expensive, it was all there was at the time. And for those of us just learning about the world of social nudism, the chat nights were great. You’d be able to exchange questions and answers with ‘real’ nudists, including several regulars who lived full-time at Paradise Lakes, which at the time was the nation’s largest and nicest resort.

The information and tips from those chats are what got us to try nudism, and take our first nudist vacation to Club Orient in St. Martin, back in 1993. Now, it seems that the nudist chat room scene has suffered from the decline of the commons, with just about every one I’ve tried really a front for a sex chat, a porn operation, or worse. If there is a good nudist chat out there, I’d like to know about it (and post a link to it on this blog).

Which is a shame because I wonder how the next generation of nudists will be able to connect, discuss and learn from other ‘real’ nudists, which was all possible before the ‘Internet revolution.’
