Nude in NY

We are in New York City for a few days, and so of course we will be nude nearly half the time. Our hotel is just steps from Times Square, and therefore we’ll probably bump into the Naked Cowboy as we usually do during every visit. But aside from the 14 or so hours a day we’re out of the hotel supposedly earning a living, we’ll chill out in the nude, in the hotel, while taking in an amazing view of 42nd Street.

With views like this, it’s our preference to leave all the lights off in the room and let the lights of the city add a soft glow to the hotel room. Some mellow music from Soma FM coming through iTunes, and simple nudity along with a glass of wine at the end of the day, make a long day of travel almost pleasureable. Leaving the drapes open and the lights in the room off provides us with both the freedom to be nude and not be visible to anyone who might be able to see into our 44th-floor window, but also to let the spectacular lights of the street below add a tender glow to the room.

Nude in the hotel roomIt’s a wonder we made it through so many years of the business travel grind before discovering the relaxation and unburdening that a nude night’s stay in a hotel can be. A few hotels we’ve stayed at even provide little tea light candles in the room to help add to their guest’s decompression. Would that they also invite their guests to disrobe and relax in the most natural way possible!

Now it’s our habit to immediately undress upon reaching the hotel room after our journey or the day’s work. Unpacking, doing e-mail, phoning home — they can all wait until we’re nude and much more comfortable. And so like every night in a hotel for us, our week in New York City will be spent mostly nude — as we like it.

How do you like the new place?

Published by Editor under hotel room

Here we are at our own new domain, running our own little nudist blog using WordPress and hoping everyone from the old Blogger site follows us over here.

The move went pretty well, with all our old posts, photos and comments from Blogger importing into WordPress just fine. It is really amazing how good WordPress is, considering it is totally free. We’re still futzing with the theme and little features like the blogroll and header graphic, but more or less we’re open for business here now and we hope you enjoy the new site.

The goal is to post at least two or three times per week, or as time permits. Looking back upong the first two months of posts on the old Blogger page, we did most of the posting while we were on the road — seems that blogging is a custom-made task for killing time in hotel rooms far from home.

Thanks for tuning in to the new location. Don’t forget to update any RSS feeds or bookmarks from the old site!

Nude on the road

The blog was neglected last week as we were on vacation out of town — our lone non-nudist vacation planned for this year. As such, we were obliged to spend the bulk of our time clothed.

However, each day began and ended nude in our hotel room, where we could enjoy the freedom and serenity that nudity offers to all people. A nude nap in the afternoon, a nude e-mail session on the computer, or enjoying a cup of coffee while reading the newspaper while still nude from the night’s rest are all possible and perfectly pleasant while on the road.
Tonight finds me on the road again, in another hotel room, and nude of course after a long day of work. Nudity and solitude, even when away from home, make even business travel a little more tolerable. I wonder how many thousands or millions of other ‘road warriors’ like myself enjoy some naked time of their own in the hotels and motels of the world.
I find that quite often, the evenings spent in an ordinary hotel room nude can nearly make up for the drudgery and the countless humiliations that comprise business travel these days.
There’s nothing quite as refreshing when on the road as returning to the room after a day’s work, luxuriating in a long hot shower to wash away the day’s tensions, and then spend the night relaxing nude with a little wine as bedtime approaches.
All of which makes the thought of returning to the full freedom of peaceful nudity in the comfort of home all the more appealing. Yet were it not for the nights of comfort and relaxation possible on the road by being able to enjoy them clothes-free in the hotel while on the road, travel would be much more miserable than it already is.
