Spring seems to finally be springing here! Temps in the 50's and maybe 60's today. Yay! It's so nice to see the sun again. We'd be at the beach today if we didn't have family business to attend to.

Fellow Sun worshipers, rejoice! Fear not, Summer is coming! -Steve

For the few non-nudist friends we have (and it really is the minority of our good friends, probably less than a dozen), we will tell them we're moving to a gated resort community in the Orlando area; if they press us, we'll tell them that it's in Kissimmee, in a development we have visited before and really like; and we'll be glad to share photos of the house and neighborhood as well.

If they say they want to come and visit, we will tell them they are welcome to do so, but that they should know that we live at a nudist resort. Whatever reaction comes from that is up to them, but it won't affect us one way or the other.

For the vast majority of our good friends, who are our nudist friends, they are excited for us and many of them will be making plans to visit us as soon as they can!

Later,

We folks up North envy you, it's still trying to be winter around here. But, the grass is greening, everything's muddy, and the winter's crop of frozen dog poop is thawing. Ah, the sweet smell of... Spring!

So, when you move to Florida, do you tell your non-nudist friends that you're just 'moving', and hope they never come to visit, or come right out and DO IT?

Most of our family and friends know about us so that's not much of a problem. I think we'd probably chicken out on telling others and deal with it if it ever came up.

Cute little story: We were at Mazo Beach a couple of years ago, chatting with a couple we'd met, from Iowa (of all places) when they got a phone call from their kids. We were cracking up listening to the story they wove about how they were camping on the Mississipi River! Jeez, the things we have to go through.

It's funny that social taboos have relaxed enough that, in most places, it's OK to be openly LGBT, or a politician, but still not nudist. We have to confine our lifestyle to secluded settings, and then need to continually fight legislation prohibiting even that!

What are they afraid of? Just watch the evening news, what are our leaders and lawmakers up to? All sorts of 'improper' stuff. Affairs, prostitutes, drug abuse, financial scandals, whatever. And WE'RE the 'bad' people?

Celebrities parade their visits to rehab clinics like some sort of badge of honor. Maybe WE need rehab, huh? Someone to teach us to hate our bodies and hide them in shame. Yeah, that's it.

Oops, did it again. On the pulpit. Sorry about that. -Steve
